Oretachi Ni Tsubasa Wa Nai Review

Synopsis:
It's winter in the big city of Yanagihara, and young people will meet and fall in love. Takashi is a boy who plans to escape to another world, but is held back by thoughts of his younger sister Kobato and girlfriend Asuka. Shusuke is a poor part-timer who has to work with student-author Hiyoko in spite of their initial dislike for each other. The antisocial Hayato makes his living as a handyman until he is visited by a girl name Naru.

Review:
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai will more than likely only please you if you like to be confused, considering as the episodes progress you become more and more confused. Even with the puzzling plot it does at least explain everything before the show ends which helps. There is one character that I can see most people liking, which is the epic lolicon girl that generally pops in with a funny skit every now and then. They did try to spice things up however, offering a wide variety of setting throughout the anime. It also does a good job of at least trying to be an original harem, and does try to break the mold of being generic harem 27,837.

This anime seems to be facing an identity crisis with the animation. The reason I say that is because I was confused with who was who due to all the characters having a problem with all of them looking the same or at least similar to each other, even with characters being introduced which is bad. You will most likely be in the dark with what is going on until around halfway through this anime, but I can see some people being out of the loop till the end of the anime. The comedy, if you can call it that was mostly not funny, and like I already stated the epic lolicon skits were the only things that will make most people laugh. This anime is way too short to have 3 main protagonists to be jumping around all over the place to even feel at least a tiny bit consistent. I would understand if it was longer, but it honestly felt that I was watching 3 different mini anime halfway, rather than watching one anime.

I will at least give this anime 1 point for at least trying to change it up and you can see that they at least put the effort into trying to do exactly that. Unfortunately this anime fails in almost every other category. With everything being confusing as it is, it makes you think that since this was an adaption off a visual novel that they only just tried to please the fans who only bought the visual novel instead of trying to please people who are watching this for the first time. The OVA that came out shortly after the anime ended is not a continuation of anything, but is there to please people with a lot of pointless uncensored fan service.  I can only recommend this anime to people who love harem anime as in they watch every harem out there and possibly a lot of ecchi scenes.
